Wow - just noticed the date.

Its been over a year since my last post! But hey what a year!! Quitting teaching (scary but the best decision I think I have ever made), living in Belfast (my new favourite place) and working as a junior costume armourer on a tv production!

Now I have some time on my hands I wanted to post something on here. 

A meeting with a highly motivated and inspirational lady 2 weeks ago has given me the enthusiasm to go for it. 

So this is it! I will post something more crafty soon - and I WILL learn how to make the most of my blog page.

CALORIE FREE CAKES!!!!!!!!!

This whole dress was knitted. it was beautiful and must have taken forever!!

A pillar made into a tree.............

                             .....complete with hanging basket............

..............and a mole!!!!!

This was a real bike covered with knitted patches.

 Unravel was brilliant. I "felt" very inspired to come home and try out my new needle felting tool.

I also bought a pattern and cashmere wool for a gorgeous pair ofmittens for next winter........no chunky wool though, think i will stick with the fabric knitting idea!

Im doing my bit for charity.

I found this on facebook and thought I might give it a go. Its for a great cause and its a perfect little project for this horrible rainy day. Have a go too if you fancy it.

New to this...................

WELCOME!!!

 

When Im not teaching Textiles and Resistant Materials (yes I am one of the lucky ones that get 13 weeks holiday a year) I love to try out new techniques and create whatever takes my fancy! Some more successfully than others.

My newest project involves some 3cm diameter knitting needles recieved for christmas from my brother and sister in law and Im off to unravel at the Farnham Maltings this weekend (see link below) to buy some chunky wool.Who knows what I will make but at the very least it will be one huge scarf ready for next winter!!
